THINGS
TO
DO
Whether you’re extending your trip to make it a full holiday or just coming for the weekend, you will have plenty of time to explore the surrounding areas and see what’s on offer.
There is nothing scheduled each morning/ early afternoon so if you get bored of laying by your pool we have you covered..
Exploring San Gimignano town
Stepping into the heart of San Gimignano is like entering a bygone era. The historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a labyrinth of narrow streets and alleyways lined with centuries-old stone buildings. Each step leads to a new discovery – a quaint piazza adorned with a bubbling fountain, a hidden courtyard bursting with colorful floral blooms, or a charming trattoria serving authentic Tuscan cuisine.
Explorers will find themselves drawn to the authentic artisan shops tucked away in historic storefronts, where skilled craftsmen continue age-old traditions. Friendly osterie and enoteche invite tired travelers to dine and drink al fresco, offering simple yet skillfully-made fare with fresh, local ingredients.
Tuscan Cooking Class
Katia and her uncle Fulvio run the Tuscan cooking class in their family farmhouse 4 km from the town of San Gimignano. They will teach you how to prepare a real Tuscan meal but most importantly they teach you how the food should taste. Your meal will be a celebration and a fantastic time to spent in a real Tuscan family.
You’ll make a lot of typical Tuscany antipasti, then prepare primi piatti, and you will make one type of pasta hand made, two different sauces for pasta, and then a second course with meat.
Wine tasting in the vineyards
There are countless Agriturismo’s and retreat in this part of Tuscany offering wine tours and tastings in the countryside.

Ride through vineyards, rivers, olive groves, and cypress tree-lined roads, and learn about the flora and fauna from your guide.
